Namaste.
Let me again
thank from the bottom of my heart to those who have
participated/helped along in various activities of ASNJ.
Here are some of the highlights of what we are doing and what
we are planning:
- As
far as after havan lectures are concerned, we are trying to
stress on the ongoing religious, national, cultural festivals at
a given time. This will help us know about these, give a chance
to celebrate them as a group and make the program more
interesting. In summer we expect some speakers from India.
- Classes
for all age groups are now regularly held for all age group 3
times a month and the enrollment is on the rise. We need your
help by participating and bringing more children in the classes.
I am confident that with participation from all of us, it will
begin to look like a real Sunday school.
- There
seems to be a good progress in the ticket sales for the upcoming
dinner/dance fundraiser to be held at Chand Palace on May 4.
- Again,
I request you all to come to Samaj, come on time make it a more
vibrant organization. Births, anniversaries, any sad event are
to be shared.
With kind
regards to all
Ramesh

Holi : A celebration
by
Atul Prakash
Recited
by Supriya Prakash at Holi function
The
beginning of spring, limitless joy, flowers blending with a full
moon,
Beautiful
colors, blossoming flowers heralding gaiety, joy and pure love,
But,
the survival of good over evil, joy over sorrow and life over
oblivion
The
death of Holika, submission of an evil ideology and the
invincibility of Prahalad,
A
victory of all that is pure
Manifestation
of spiritual, emotional and tender love,
Shiv
ji’s presence and Kamdeva’s
new
colors,
Radha’s
divine love, a face so pale made so colorful with pink, red and
green
A
faith untouched
Lord
Krishna ‘s face dark and mysterious, spreading a universal message
Of
spiritual bliss
Rangapanchami,
an end to this celebration? or a yet another new beginning
Year
after year
Reminding
us in times of despair, desolation and despondency
Of
new hope, a new beginning!
